I saw your site, and read your bio, I like your site it is very informative and I thank you for it, as my drum teacher is still slightly foggy on the situation.  C.M.

I disagree ... with the concept of the wrist being above the stick on the "Up movement".  Time is wasted doing it like that, why not just rotate the wrist moving the hand over while bring up the forearm ?  C.F.

Great article ... by far, the best I have seen ANYWHERE...thanks for the great article and videos!  Paul

Great site on the Moeller technique!

Do you reccomend learning the true Moeller grip?  One thing I was wondering practice-wise, are you supposed to grip the stick with the thumb and first and second finger at all?  In the clips it looks like the thumb doesn't even grip the stick.

Is it a useful skill just to be able to control the stick with the little finger?  ..how can Moeller be used for fast singles/finger control?  ...did Moeller advocate this finger control (that you demonstrate)?  ...and btw, thanks a lot for all the information and help!    Zeke

[Had I been] aware ... of the Moellersystem (and been mastering it) i'm shure i would have been avoiding some tension and slight injuries... P-A T.

I do have the Moeller book and your web pages are the first instruction I have come across that is detailed enough to give me the confidence to proceed with trying to learn the Moeller technique from
the book.  I have been practicing [another] book since December, and I have developed a (mild) inflammation in my right wrist since intensifying the exercises...M.N.

For anyone interested to write ... please use terms to describe your thoughts as found in Moeller's book.  Thank you.

i.e. ... There is no such thing as a 'Moeller stroke'.  Moeller, himself, would not have approved of this term.

The UP STROKE is centuries old in its use...

... and should not be called a 'Moeller stroke' or a 'Chapin stroke', or a

'Bellson stroke', or a 'Rich' stroke, or a 'Stone stroke' ... etc.
